You’ll notice lots of major changes to the individual story websites. I’m trying to make each more welcoming — giving you a taste of what’s inside the cover of the book, if you will, rather than just a sterile list of chapter headings.

But actually, there are lots of other changes that you may not see. I’ve been weeks now trying to optimize these sites to be more eye-catching, more accessible and friendly and engaging, but also to be more search-engine friendly. It’s not that helpful to find, for instance, Rust in a Google search if all you see is that I wrote it. Search engines are flighty and fickle with what they notice about a site, but if you push more information out there, it improves your chances.
